New to Physio?
We understand it can be a little daunting if you’ve never had physiotherapy before. To get you started, we’ll ask you to fill out our intake form with your medical information. Then we’ll have a chat with you and ask you some questions to find out how we can best help you. For your assessment, it’s easier if you have a pair of shorts and vest to change into.
During your Session
During your initial session, we will observe how your body moves and functions. We look at your joints, muscles and ligaments, as well as how these work together. We will explain what we find and discuss a treatment plan with you. Our treatments include; manual therapy, soft tissue release, dry needling as well as exercises to help restore optimal movement in your body.
At the end of your physio session, we’ll give you a recap of what we’ve found. We will always identify your problems and will discuss a plan of action of what you can do, whether that’s further physio sessions, Pilates or advice on making simple lifestyle adjustments. We aim to be your number one choice for physiotherapy in Edinburgh and want to help you feel, think and do better. We’re looking forward to meeting you very soon.
